Defender Marcos Senesi and midfielders David Brooks and Lewis Cook are banned, while wingers Ryan Christie and Ben Gannon-Doak are injured.

“In December and January we will need everyone,” manager Andoni Iraola said of his squad depth. “Every player needs to be available and ready to go.

Everton starting lineup vs Bournemouth

Defenders Jarrad Branthwaite (hamstring) and Nathan Patterson (foot and groin) remain out, as does on-loan Freiburg midfielder Merlin Rohl.

Right-back Seamus Coleman suffered a hamstring injury during the 1-0 win at Manchester United on November 24.

“We went into the Newcastle game carrying a couple of boys with injuries,” said manager David Moyes. “They played.

“On another day, if we’d have had other players available, we might have altered that. But there are no excuses from that point of view.”
