The Philadelphia Eagles‘ offense has had some problems lately, but it is still capable of being unstoppable at times. That is led, of course, by quarterback Jalen Hurts.

He gets the job done, and he only attempts a long pass when he knows that it’s secure. The stats show how impressive Hurts has been on those explosive plays.

According to PFF, on 20+ yard throws this season, Hurts has seven touchdowns and zero interceptions with a 128.2 passer rating.

Explosive pass plays are those that end in a gain of at least 20 yards. When it comes to this type of play, Hurts is almost always on point.

Yet, the Eagles don’t always take those chances, even though Hurts has shown that he’s reliable. That is one of the reasons some people are frustrated with Philadelphia’s current offensive scheme.

The Eagles have managed 26 points total in winning their past two games, which is somewhat concerning as the playoffs draw nearer. This has led to fans demanding to see better choices from the coaching staff and Hurts himself.

Yes, the team is suffering through injuries, but these numbers prove that Hurts can get the job done, as long as he is put in the right position and used correctly. If the Eagles want to get back to the Super Bowl, they will need to address the problems plaguing their stalled offense and allow Hurts to do what he does best.

The upcoming Week 12 game against the Dallas Cowboys might give them a chance. Dallas’ defense is one of the weakest in the league, so if there is any time for Philadelphia to open up its offense, it’s now.
