Against all odds, the New York Jets are finally riding some positive momentum. They followed their comeback win against the Cincinnati Bengals with another triumph against the Cleveland Browns after the bye week.

While it sounds highly unlikely that they can do the same on “Thursday Night Football” against the New England Patriots, they have to try. With that in mind, the Jets made two roster moves.

They signed defensive back Tre Brown and released defensive back JT Woods from their practice squad.

Brown entered the league as a fourth-round pick by the Seattle Seahawks in the 2021 NFL Draft. He played in 39 games (13 starts) in four seasons with the Seahawks, logging 74 combined tackles, eight passes defended, and two interceptions.

He joined the San Francisco 49ers before being released with an injury settlement. Then, he signed with the Los Angeles Rams, making five appearances and playing 60 snaps on special teams before being released in October.

Woods joined the Jets’ practice squad in October. He was a third-round pick by the Los Angeles Chargers in the 2022 NFL Draft.

He played in 13 games and made eight combined tackles in two seasons. He also spent some time on the practice squad of the Philadelphia Eagles, Chicago Bears, Las Vegas Raiders and Seahawks.
