Manchester United manager Ruuben Amorim has been named Premier League manager of the month for the first time.
The Portuguese guided United to three wins in October to lift the club up the table, including a memorable victory at Anfield.
“The credit is not mine, the credit is for my players. They did really well, and our goal is to win the next one [award], because it means we win football matches and that is our goal,” Amorim said after winning the award.
Amorim is the first United boss to win the award since Erik ten Hag in November 2023.
Forward Bryan Mbeumo took player of the month. The Cameroon international scored three times, with a goal in the Liverpool win and two against Brighton.
Amorim is the sixth manager from Portugaal to take the honour after Nuno Espirito Santo, Jose Mourinho, Andre Villas-Boas, Bruno Lage and most recently Vitor Pereira.
