Proper Stock ETF Allocation
Post
by Diaperman1 »
I personal three ETF’s: Complete US Inventory Market VTI), Worldwide Inventory (VXUS) and BND
On the inventory facet I’m 88% US and 12% Worldwide.
Ought to that allocation be altered? I’m not making an attempt to carry the one that somebody says is healthier, I merely need a affordable publicity to the world.

25% of shares in your 78/22 portfolio can be 19.5% of general portfolio, 33% of shares can be 25.7% of general portfolio.
Some maintain much less, others (notably Vanguard of their LifeStrategy funds) maintain extra. Some maintain none in any respect.

I like greater than 12% myself. Asking here’s a waste of time, although. One opinion per poster, with some proclaiming to characterize a consensus. Wait and see.

I’m 80 and a Boglehead of two years.
I personal three ETF’s: Complete US Inventory Market VTI), Worldwide Inventory (VXUS) and BNDOn the inventory facet I’m 66% US and 12% Worldwide.
Ought to that allocation be altered? I’m not making an attempt to carry the one that somebody says is healthier, I merely need a affordable publicity to the world.
Vanguard Complete World (VT) is about 60% US/40% international. My guess is that almost all Bogleheads maintain lower than 40% international. I personally am about 80% US nevertheless it’s not due to some form of Captain Queeg geometric logic.
I have to say you appear to have a really cool Bogleheads portfolio.

My two cents: 12% of shares in Worldwide is cheap.
Moreover, there are numerous US/Worldwide splits which might be affordable. 88/12 is one among them.
