Tucker Kraft’s Hot Start Puts Him In Packers History

The Green Bay Packers have one of the most underrated players in the NFL.

Tight end Tucker Kraft is playing like an All-Pro, yet he’s not getting as much praise as some of his colleagues.

He’s been so good that he’s already written his name in the Packers’ history book.

Kraft is the first Green Bay tight end since 1970 to have at least 300 receiving yards and four touchdowns in the first six games of a season.

Of course, this is also because tight ends weren’t as involved in the passing game back in the day.

With a few exceptions, they were there mostly for blocking, but the modern game requires them to do much more than that.

Kraft might not be Rob Gronkowski, but he’s a threat in the open field, and his ability to shake off tackles and pile up yards after the catch and contact is among the best in the game.

He’s developed strong chemistry with quarterback Jordan Love, especially in the red zone.

Because of Kraft’s emergence, the Packers could choose to part with Luke Musgrave before the upcoming NFL trade deadline.

He’s not relied on as a blocker, and he’s not getting enough targets as a pass catcher, either.

With their need to add a cornerback, the Packers could be looking to make a deal.

As for Kraft, he will continue to be one of their primary weapons in the passing game for the remainder of the season.
