The Eurto Stoxx 50 index is closing at a new record level. The closing level at 5590.00 is up 46.60 point or 0.84% the closing level took out the previous high close at 5536.50 from February 18. It also surpassed the intraday high price from March 6 at 5563.90.

The other indices in Europe also closed higher. Some milestones included:

• UK’s FTSE 100 is closing at a new record high.
• Spain’s Ibex is closing and trading at its highest level since 2007
• Italy’s FTSE MIB is also approaching its highest closing level going back to 2007 at 43310.27. The close today was 43079.59

A snapshot of the closing levels today shows:

• German DAX, up 232.90 point or 0.90% at 24113.63.
• France’s CAC up 71.02 points or 0.90% at 7966.96
• UK’s FTSE 100 +96.00 point or 1.03% at 9446.44.
• Spain’s Ibex +63.80 points or 0.41% at 15538.81
• Italy’s FTSE MIB +354.28 points or 0.83% at 43079.59.

As London/European traders head for the exits, the rotation out of the US stocks have seen a reversal with the major indices now higher on the day:

• Dow industrial average up 71.70 points or 0.15% at 46469.90.
• S&P index up 7.47 points or 0.11% at 6695.85.
• NASDAQ index up 41.95 points or 0.19% at 22701

US yields today are lower but off their lowest levels after weaker ADP employment data:

• 2-year yield 3.559%, -4.5 basis points
• 5 year yield 3.697%, -3.6 basis points
• 10 year yield 4.121%, -2.9 basis points
• 30 year yield 4.720%, -1.3 basis points.

In other markets,

• Crude oil traded to a low of $61.40 and in the process tested a swing area between $61.45 and $61.94. The current price is trading at $61.97 just above the high of that swing area. Getting and staying above that level would give the buyers some hope. Moving below the $61.40 area, would be more bearish.
