Analyst Turns Heads With Statement About Jordan Love

The Green Bay Packers lost their first game of the season, falling on the road to the Cleveland Browns in Week 3.

As usually happens, that has led to some big overreactions.

That includes ESPN Milwaukee analyst Steve Homer, who is concerned about the Packers’ starting quarterback.

“You can not trust Jordan Love,” Homer said.

Granted, Love has his fair share of head-scratching throws, and he cost the Packers with a fourth-quarter interception that led to the Browns’ game-tying touchdown.

Then again, it’s just one game.

Love looked sharp in wins against the Detroit Lions and Washington Commanders, even if he didn’t need to do that much.

Also, he was facing one of the best defenses in the league, and the Browns need to get much more credit than they’re getting for pulling off this upset.

Love entered the season as a question mark after a disappointing season in 2024, but he’s shown flashes of strong play as well.

His tendency to put the ball in harm’s way has come back to haunt the Packers several times in the past, but placing the blame on him isn’t only unfair, it’s inaccurate.

The Browns’ defense outplayed the Packers’ offense as a whole, and after it contained Joe Burrow, Ja’Marr Chase, Tee Higgins and Derrick Henry in the first two weeks, perhaps it shouldn’t be a surprise to see it do the same against Love as well.
