Christian Hawkesby is the interim Governor of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand (RBNZ).
He was appointed as Governor when Orr stepped down abruptly.
It looks like Hawkesby has missed out on a permanent appointment though, the new governor will be a woman not currently on the board at the bank (ie an outsider) according to unconfirmed reports.
