The Green Bay Packers‘ offense has always been fine under head coach Matt LaFleur.
Their defense took a huge leap last season in the first year with Jeff Hafley as coordinator, and it has gotten even better.
Unfortunately, that hasn’t been the case with their special teams.
That’s why, after losing to the Cleveland Browns in Week 3, ESPN Milwaukee analyst Steve True called out the unit for its woes.
“Has our special teams gotten any better? It’s early, but it’s not trending the way we had hoped,” True said.

Coordinator Rich Bisaccia’s unit has been a talking point too many times in the past.
While kicker Brandon McManus has been reliable, the unit as a whole has been an issue.
It cost Green Bay when it mattered most, when Cleveland blocked what could’ve been a game-winning field goal.
That left the door wide open for the Browns to win with a walk-off field goal by Andre Szmyt.
Granted, multiple kicks were blocked around the league in Week 3, and that will be something every team will adjust to.
But when a team has Super Bowl aspirations, it can’t afford this to become a recurring issue.
The Packers should be 3-0, and this loss stings because they seemingly had it in the bag.
So, as much as the Browns deserve all the credit in the world for the way they executed late in the game, Packers fans can’t help but feel that they let one slip away.
