The Atlanta Falcons are making a tough decision.
After years of relying on Younghoe Koo to handle kicking duties, he may have lost his job in Georgia.
According to a report by ESPN insider Adam Schefter, he’s not going to be there for Sunday night’s matchup against the Minnesota Vikings:
“Falcons ruled out kicker Younghoe Koo for Sunday night’s matchup with the Minnesota Vikings and listed his reason for downgraded as not injury related. Falcons also promoted kicker Parker Romo to kick Sunday night vs. the Vikings,” Schefter posted on X.

The Falcons signed Georgia native Parker Romo last Tuesday.
Koo struggled in the season opener, missing a 44-yard field goal that would’ve tied the game as the clock expired.
Instead, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers got a big 23-20 win against their divisional rivals
Koo made two of three field goals in Week 1, but he nearly missed one of his two makes.
His struggles date back to last season, and he’s just now 12-of-20 on field goal attempts in his last nine games.
He missed some time with a hip injury, but he’s reportedly back to full strength.
He’s coming off making just 73.5 percent of his field goals, his lowest percentage since he took the reins of the team back in 2019.
Once known as one of the most reliable kickers in the game, he’s now in serious jeopardy of losing his job.
Romo, who kicked for the Minnesota Vikings last season, was 11 of 12 on field goal attempts in four appearances.
He spent training camp with the New England Patriots but failed to make the final 53-man roster.
While he doesn’t have that much experience in the NFL, he led the XFL in field goal percentage (17 of 19, 89.5 percent) in the 2023 XFL season.
