Adam Schefter Believes Cowboys Could Have Gotten More For Micah Parsons

The Dallas Cowboys shook up the NFL last week by finally bringing the long-winding Micah Parsons saga to a shocking end and trading him to the Green Bay Packers for a pair of first-round picks and defensive tackle Kenny Clark.

It was a stunning move that still has fans and media members trying to make sense of it, and ESPN’s Adam Schefter is of the belief that Dallas could have gotten more in return.

During a Thursday appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, Schefter said he believes the Packers would have added a third first-round pick at the end if the deal was close to being completed.

The Parsons deal brought back plenty of memories of the Khalil Mack and Jamal Adams trades, both of whom fetched more in return than Parsons did without having the same level of accomplishments.

Parsons has 52.5 sacks and a pair of All-Pro selections at just 26 years old and is now the highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history, and should be a foundational piece of this Packers defense for years.

It’s impossible to know if Dallas could have gotten another first-rounder for Parsons, but either way, this trade rubbed a lot of people the wrong way and is a tough sell to a Cowboys fanbase that expects to compete this year, not just in the future.

If there were ever a player to deal a trio of first-round picks for, it would be a 26-year-old edge rusher who has delivered unmatched production from the day he entered the league.
