The Yankees answered immediately with a Juan Soto home run in the top of the third.

Freeman followed that up with a home run of his own to put the home team ahead by three runs.
The home run marked Freeman’s second in as many games following his walk-off grand slam in the 10th inning of Friday night’s Game 1.

Mookie Betts, Hernández and Edman all recorded multiple hits for the Dodgers, while Soto was the only batter to record more than one hit for the visitors. Yankees captain Aaron Judge was held without a hit and struck out three times as Carlos Rodon recorded the loss.
