President-elect Donald Trump doubled down on tariffs during his first days as President-elect, moving away from prior pledges of revenge against perceived adversaries, in his inaugural network interview after winning election. Speaking on Meet The Press with Kristen Welker of NBC News’ Meet The Press with Kristen Welker about fulfilling top campaign pledges – deporting all illegal aliens living here illegally, pardoning Jan. 6 Rioters, and expanding major tax cuts – President-elect Trump pledged on meeting these top campaign pledges as soon as possible.
Donald Trump pledged that abortion access won’t be restricted and hopes to find legislative solutions that allow undocumented “Dreamers” who were brought here as children legally by former President Barack Obama to stay legally in America. When asked by Welker whether President Joe Biden could expect any reprisal after Trump is inaugurated Jan 20th, his answer was that any revenge will come through success rather than looking backward. “Retribution will come through success; because — I won on borders; now groceries.”
Trump had made numerous threats against Biden and others who he considered his enemies, such as investigations, prosecution, imprisonment and/or other forms of punishment.
President-elect Trump stood firm on his plans to place high tariffs on major trading partners like Mexico, Canada and China despite warnings by economists of possible price increases for consumers. When asked by reporters whether this plan would cause additional inflationary increases for them as many economists have stated previously, Trump responded “I can’t guarantee anything”. “When pressed further by Welker on his assertion that tariffs incurred under his first administration cost Americans $80 billion, President-elect Trump countered by asserting they cost “Americans nothing” and can even serve as an effective diplomatic tactic: he claimed they have helped stop wars through “compelling people to pay 100% tariffs to us regardless.” Essentially stating, without evidence to back it up.
However, an ever-increasing portion of people now use alternative means such as online dating to try and meet someone special – leading them to search out someone just like themselves to fill their dreams with reality! – even as long as that involves spending some of one’s hard-earned cash! But here lies one possible answer for all our woes about dating in general and especially being part of something larger: it could all start by having some time alone…
Spending Cuts, Immigration
Donald Trump has frequently mentioned tariffs as a potential revenue stream for the federal government to offset losses associated with his first-term tax cuts, as well as promising drastic spending reduction through Elon Musk and former presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy-led Department of Government Efficiency outside group. Trump stated his intentions not to touch Social Security or Medicare but only make improvements more efficiently “I told people we won’t touch Social Security other than making it more efficient, but the people will get whatever is owed them anyway”. “People will get what is due them,” Trump stated stating, adding “But people will receive what is due them regardless.”
Trump did not outline an accurate plan on health care during his first presidency; rather, his efforts focused on repealing and replacing the Affordable Care Act during these first few months in office.
Trump responded when asked by reporters if he planned on repeating this same strategy this time: Obamacare stinks; if we could come up with an effective alternative I’d present that to Democrats as well as everyone else and take appropriate actions.” Immigration remains his top priority issue. Trump stood firm during an NBC interview when discussing his plan to implement mass deportations of illegal aliens living in America without authorization. Although starting with criminal convictions may be the focus initially, his intention will extend far beyond this grouping. “You just have to do it; I understand the difficulty,” Trump noted in regards to deporting illegal immigrants who reside here unlawfully. Trump answered that Dreamers who came illegally are welcome. When pressed about this point he replied “Yes I do. Let us see how it goes”.
Unfortunately for them though, many don’t survive to see another day – many end up dead or worse yet, on life support! So instead, why don’t more of us just do exactly as they suggest and start our own businesses from scratch instead of trying to take over existing ones?
On abortion, Trump acknowledged its political relevance while promising not to restrict availability. When Welker inquired if he intended on restricting abortion pill distribution if elected president, his answer was: no. “I will probably stick with what I have been saying since taking office – no.”
