“That is our main worry because no two road trips are identical,” noted Panthers Head Coach Paul Maurice. “With all that time difference between Hawaii and Florida, things could easily become confused on arrival if something unexpected pops up – which was confirmed yesterday when we took an aerial survey over those regions.” “Our Team Performance Group, specifically those guys have done an outstanding job navigating all the necessary measures necessary to adjust for time change. They did exactly what was asked of them by keeping an eye on players so we were able to catch them regularly on back-to-back play.” Since we rarely get to face off against an exhausted opponent this year, it was key for our team to seize this moment and keep themselves sharp in this game. I was really happy with how our start off the match was executed by all members involved – as was how the rest of our performance throughout it all! I’m proud of everyone on that squad for their hard work in setting themselves up well before our opponents arrived at their games and making everything run smoother overall! I’ve watched our start up that game before now too and truly admire our play during it too – both starts were fantastic and I enjoyed my team’s play during it too – I’d just watch every second from it to finish out that match so much; both games began and played out beautifully; both aspects delighted me greatly as it happened quickly after both started their opponents became fatigued compared with last years start up to start game 1; game 2. I really liked our start off that match- up but also enjoyed how our play unfolded throughout that contest too despite playing it as much. It made all-play. It took work from our players (but ultimately I liked playing our performance so much this time round 2. I really liked both games overall performance; both began their effort while our play throughout! I really liked how we started each played our competition’s entirety. I really appreciated all played them. I really appreciated all my way more. I found out who won. It felt right away after that one!! I liked its outcome as much! Its outcome and played its conclusion too… “FLORIDA PANTHERS SCORING SOME GOALS If there’s one thing the Panthers have done well this season, it is scoring goals. Even with key players out due to injury issues in its opening weeks of competition, Florida still managed to produce across their roster and averaged 3.86 goals per game – fifth overall among NHL clubs! In their current six game winning streak they scored 30 times.” Math-phobes who expect no math will note this is roughly five goals per game for those without calculators, thanks to upgrades in their bottom six and Anton Lundell maturation; The Panthers are deeper at forward this season owing to upgrades made at both positions as well as Anton’s maturation; “I haven’t been concerned with our offensive game” according to Maurice. “Our offensive forward group has improved tremendously from last season. Anton Lundell’s line now can score and can make a difference; many other new guys may help as well.” Anton struggled last season to establish himself offensively and we believe our forward group can score goals. Our coaches tend to spend more time discussing defense than offense; ironically enough, when players focus on being defensive-minded more they start scoring more. “UVIS BALINSKIS HAS BECOME FLORIDA’S BEST DEFENDERYou would be hard pressed to find any fault with Uvis Balinskis’ recent play for Florida Panthers. Defensively he is sound and aggressive while quick with puck use; and has proven his hockey IQ high and effort level constant – Maurice couldn’t be more impressed! His answer every time someone asked questions about Balinskis was insightful as ever- including Thursday Night! “He begins each game with an incredible foundation of really intense hockey,” Maurice stated. “When given power play opportunities, he doesn’t dwindle.” Maurice continued saying that this player possessed both poised playmaking as well as high pace hockey with quick puck movements from stick to stick throughout each shift. No slows the power play down; so his 5-on-5 game can often feel similar on it. We still don’t know his ceiling; this year is his first full NHL year getting big minutes. He did wonders for us with injuries and challenges we were up against; I can’t thank him enough. He played left, right and defense in one game without breaking stride – always going after every shift no matter the circumstances we presented him with. I am pleased that he’s getting valuable minutes on defense as well as points to add up in scoring totals. “Latest Stories From Hockey News – Florida “Reinhart and Barkov remain hot as Florida Panthers beat Predators 6 straight for another victoryPaul Maurice is excelling behind Florida Panthers bench in NHL 25
