Taxable account rebalancing
In case your taxable account is the most important in comparison with your 401 and Roth IRA , and many of the bonds in your taxable account are in municipal bonds, and municipal bonds are usually not nice for rebalancing, is it alright to have a small quantity of treasuries in your taxable account to make use of for rebalancing? ( run on sentence meant) What else can you employ if the quantities in your 401 are too small to make a serious distinction?
Re: Taxable account rebalancing
Yeah I do know DCA till you might be balanced proper, however that might take a very long time if you’re solely including a small quantity every month.

Is your 401k account already all bond funds?
If not, why not?

Your month-to-month bond fund dividends might be used to purchase further shares of these bond funds. Amazingly easy reply.
Re: Taxable account rebalancing
I do not consider your assertion that municipal bonds are usually not nice for rebalancing. They’re nearly as good as US Treasury bonds for rebalancing.

Assume as a substitute about the entire portfolio, not account by account. By your logic, the muni bonds are slowing down the expansion of your taxable account, so, must you do away with them?

For what it is price, my taxable account is my largest account too (2/3 of my whole) and my Rollover IRA is 100% bonds and my Roth IRA has about 1/fifth in bonds. It does not hassle me within the slightest, as a result of my entire portfolio is rising at a suitable fee.
