There was once an older man called Lelis who worked as an undertaker but later decided that it wasn’t suitable to carry on working because his joints hurt so badly from sitting for so long on an uncomfortable chair! So it all started over in South London with this youngster called Luke whose goal in life has always been the pursuit of happiness through physical or spiritual means – until today when I started writing again after two decades-plus break! I wanted him back but this is just too far-fetched even for him… Barcelona predicted lineup to face Alaves – La LigaBarcelona will return from international break on Sunday, taking on Deportivo Alaves in La Liga action for one last match before October international break begins. They have made an incredible start under Hansi Flick’s guidance thus far, winning seven out of their opening eight fixtures! Last weekend was Barcelona’s only defeat, falling 4-2 at Osasuna to allow their title rivals to close in on them. While Barca returned to winning ways midweek in Champions League action, they will want to avoid further slip ups before La Liga goes on its winter hiatus later in 2019. Due to injuries ravaging La Blaugrana’s squad – particularly midfield – their trip to Alaves may not be straightforward this weekend. Below is how they could line up against Alaves (4-2-3-1); here’s their predicted lineup against them in four weeks (GK: Inaki Pena likely replaced by Wojciech Szczesny). Jules Kounde – With injuries being such a focal point at Barcelona this season, Kounde has proven reliable at right back so far this campaign. He and his defensive colleagues have only kept one clean sheet over their last six outings; yet. Cubarsi will need to form another centre-back pairing once again on Sunday. Barca must tread lightly not to abuse 17-year-old academy graduate Iigo Martinez as they have with other academy graduates in recent seasons. CB: Inigo Martinez made headlines midweek by scoring and providing an assist in Barca’s 5-0 destruction of Young Boys – it was quite an impressive display by him! Veteran midfielder Luis Garcia has seen increased usage this term.LB: Alejandro Balde – Osasuna’s 4-2 defeat proved the dangers of rotating defense, so Flick wisely decided against making that same error again against first division opposition; Balde is likely to replace Hector Fort at left back instead of rotating further in defence against Osasuna again.DM: Marc Casado One positive aspect of Barcelona’s injury issues has been Casado’s rise as holding midfield player and one positive benefit has been the development of holding midfield player Casado who excels compared with previous iterations at holding midfield position compared with playing just 20 percent. DM: Marc Casado Youngster already shows impressive poise on the pitch.DM: Pedri was much more impressive alongside Casado against Young Boys than with Eric Garcia during Osasuna matches. On Sunday he’ll serve as Barca’s deep-lying playmaker with his exquisite passing range and precise passing accuracy. RW: Lamine Yamal – Another exciting youngster to emerge this season after excelling in Euro 2024 for Turkey with Barca, Yamal will be pivotal at Alaves when La Blaugrana face Alaves. AM: Raphinha – Brazilian forward Raphinha has found form lately and registered several goal contributions against Young Boys last weekend. Ferran Torres could make his mark this weekend and is making strides forward, both as an attacking midfielder and wide forward. After being overshadowed by more notable peers, Torres may wish to prove something on this weekend’s pitch. Flick can only wait so long with his patient support of him before losing faith and withdrawing it altogether. ST: Robert Lewandowski – Lewandowski has enjoyed an outstanding renaissance under Flick, yet maintaining high standards at all times; already notching seven goals and two assists for LA Liga alone!
