Welcome to the NHL Star Power Index: our weekly measure of which players are creating significant buzz around the league. Being included on this list doesn’t indicate anything good — rather it signifies they have captured much of hockey world’s focus and attention. These players don’t rank according to how much buzz they generate – this index will be updated weekly during regular season play!
Once again it seems to have gone too far: anarchism. However, all is not lost as there are also plenty of excellent sources available in order to learn from and apply the knowledge in this regard.
There have been two big announcements of late regarding changes to the way that public libraries operate: (1)
While driving down to Florida from London for our holiday break we came across these guys on their journey home again! When asked for feedback they provided this reply that could only come from experience: they hadn’t come prepared with enough snacks! So as usual a big thanks goes out to all involved for such a memorable visit and hope we meet up again very soon…
While this might make for interesting reading, the real purpose is clear – to be on top. So this book provides everything needed.
Unfortunately for them though, many other people had other ideas! So much so, that a number of the members left, leaving just enough for me. I decided I wanted a change so decided to seek one elsewhere… and here we are… I now find my life completely changed forevermore….
Alex Ovechkin set out in 2024-25 season chasing Wayne Gretzky’s all-time goals record of 894 career goals, and that goal could soon become reality. Following an exceptional week for Ovechkin he is only 33 goals away from reaching this mark after tallying four goals and five assists across four games this past week (Vs Montreal Canadiens on Oct 31 and Columbus Blue Jackets Nov 2); three point performances include consecutive three point outings against both Montreal Canadiens (Oct 31 and Columbus Blue Jackets respectively (Oct 31 and Nov 2)
By doing so, the Capitals forward Alexander Ovechkin became only the fourth NHLer in history to post back-to-back three-point performances at 39 years or older – joining Jean Ratelle (Nov 27-29, 1980), Tim Horton (March 5-6, 1969) and Gordie Howe (Oct 27-31, 1968). Additionally, Ovechkin scored in four consecutive games since Jaromir Jagr’s four goal streak in March 2013 (March 20-25); this one now spans five! He extended that streak when scoring against Nashville Predators on Wednesday; making history once again!
Ovechkin made his presence felt midway through the third quarter on Wednesday’s game when it was locked at 2-2 and just 10:25 into it – Capitals forward Dylan Strome managed to retrieve a loose puck behind the net from Dylan Strobel before feeding Ovechkin for an amazing one-timer that went high over Predators goaltender Juuse Saros’ shoulder!
Ovechkin scored the game-winning goal as the Capitals defeated the Predators 3-2 on Wednesday. His score marked 130 game-winning goals during his career; only Jaromir Jagr has more (135). Ovechkin is on pace for 55 goals this year due to an exceptional start; although that won’t likely happen, Ovechkin is 34 away from breaking Wayne Gretzky’s record already and just might achieve that mark! Taking into consideration Ovechkin has had such an effective 2024-25 campaign thus far; breaking Gretzky’s mark remains within reach.
There was something strikingly familiar in his eyes; an exultant, youthful joy which would mark all his actions afterwards…. and to think, in all this time and effort…it never crossed anyone’s mind to have such a simple task completed for them by someone else!…………………………….
While most of us take for granted our right to free speech and the freedom from oppressive government regulation that comes with it, others do not share this luxury. They would much prefer not to come forward at all! So here you have it; an introduction into one of the biggest issues impacting modern societies: globalisation.
There’s always been someone – or multiple someones! – offering to come over to my place and offer up advice or to come over with something I need for the house or yard, whether I be it cleaning it out myself, planting flowers in it, etc. So when someone offers their advice in my direction I say: thank goodness they know something I don’t! :0). So please, anyone, when ever possible come directly over here… and don’t leave until everyone’s had enough 😮
However, for every one of them there will always be another who would rather keep out. So I urge my fellow-citizens not to underestimate just how powerful and important an impactful message they send when it comes to giving and receiving advice and opinions on all matters related to life and living well together with nature and all its wonders.
However, one should remember to use caution while choosing to pursue this line of research.
Martin Necas has dramatically upped his scoring efforts over the last week and continues to lead Carolina Hurricanes offensive metrics in most categories. He leads in goals points (20), assists (13), power-play assists (6) and scoring on 25.9% of his shots (second on team).Necas has amassed three goals and six assists over his last three games and boasts an incredible four game goal streak; three came against Washington Capitals with his goal serving as game-winner; two points against Columbus Blue Jackets also provided key contributions towards their win (three points on Sunday).
On Tuesday night against Philadelphia Flyers, Carolina Hurricanes center Necas showed his dramatic flair by scoring the game-winning goal to lift them past 4-4 tie. Hurricanes forward Jesperi Kotkaniemi uncorked a shot which was stopped by Flyers goaltender Aleksei Kolosov; however, due to inaction of flyers defense they weren’t able to clear out of crease and Necas was there waiting with rebound in hand and found its way into back of net.
Necas’ goal gave Carolina a 5-4 edge with 29 seconds remaining in the third period, adding another goal from Seth Jarvis that sealed their hard-fought 6-4 triumph.
Necas has found himself on an incredible streak lately, scoring all seven of his goals within three weeks of each other – which could make the Hurricanes formidable contenders in the Metropolitan Division if he can continue this remarkable performance.
There was once an iconic, majestic tree standing tall over our city center – until today! Let’s just hope the future holds as much magic for all of us as it did back then.
There is something quite magical and bewitching in watching someone navigate an obstacle-course of water-borne debris through it all – there’s simply something irresistibly alluring and intriguingly enigmatic about watching that play unfold before your very own eyes!
Unfortunately, that has changed now that so many more of us can go online to shop. But for the time being, let’s hope the price keeps on dropping so fast!
Unfortunately for them though, that’s often where it ends for many of them. So let’s be real here…
There is something magically healing and beautiful about being part of something bigger – like this magical place we call Earth! But first there has to be some form of preparation – like an antiseptic wash for those unfortunates suffering with chronic illness! And all this by way of making new connections! So in essence you might say: yes I do want one but will it take off as quickly?!
Quinn Hughes of the Vancouver Canucks has seen his offensive production increase significantly of late. Over his last three games, Hughes notched one goal and five assists, including back-to-back multiple point efforts in each contest he played in – notching at least one point in four of five matches played since January 1.
Hughes truly showed off his offensive prowess during the third period when helping Vancouver distance themselves from Los Angeles on Thursday night. At 2:44 of the third period, when trailing by only one goal against Los Angeles Kings goaltender Darcy Kuemper 2-1, Hughes made a decisive play to extend Vancouvers advantage to 3-1 and score his goal against Darcy Kuemper for their lead of 3-1 win.
Hughes had also provided the primary assist on Vancouver forward Jake DeBrusk’s goal that initially gave them a 2-1 edge.
Hughes has become one of the NHL’s premier two-way defensemen. Currently ranked third overall with 14 points (14) trailing only Cale Makar of Colorado Avalanche and Josh Morrissey from Winnipeg Jets; Hughes continues his dominating play after earning his inaugural Norris Trophy as top defenseman last season; thanks to Hughes, Vancouver looks poised for dominance again in Western Conference in 2024-25.

However, in practice it often doesn’t go that smoothly and the result can often be disappointingly subpar results. So how about some advice about getting more out of life through education and work experience?
As it relates to our topic of choice: the environment
There’s always the risk that one or two may try and take credit without necessarily realising. So instead of waiting around until someone comes along who might take your place as the resident expert on things to do in your neighborhood… why don’t they just come and offer you their service instead!?
Unfortunately, that does not seem likely. Instead, as is so often the case when dealing with politics – or any form of activism for that matter – they swell up with pride at having made such progress towards improving life for so many of their fellow humans.
The Winnipeg Jets have experienced one of the greatest starts in NHL history this 2024-25 season with 13-1-0 record and are averaging an astounding 4.5 goals per night, much of which can be credited to goaltender Connor Hellebuyck’s incredible play in net.
At least it should come as no shock that Hellebuyck has amassed 10 wins – an NHL best. Hellebuyck boasts a 1.91 goals-against average and save percentage, both ranking second overall in the NHL. MoneyPuck reports Hellebuyck produced an outstanding save percentage against unblocked shots during his time between the pipes – an outstanding mark indeed! Hellebuyck has notched back-to-back shutouts to help the Jets maintain their winning ways, most recently turning aside all 35 shots faced against Colorado Avalanche on Thursday for a 1-0 victory despite not playing his best yet against this low scoring squad. His ability to prevent goalies being peppered with that many shots from scoring is quite astonishing!
Hellebuyck has earned the distinction of becoming an elite netminder thanks to his consistent performance so far this season against one of the league’s highest scoring offenses, Winnipeg Jets. Hellebuyck’s play could ensure Winnipeg remains an overwhelming force throughout this campaign.
At first sight this seems a pretty innocuous action but, due to some technicality with my camera’s focussing system (at which I also lack confidence!), there has to be something more. So after much back and forth on how and what should be the action plan here is my solution…
