Saturday brings us another exciting NHL action-packed day that provides ample chances for us to strike gold on our Best Bets. The Winnipeg Jets look to create history when taking on Dallas Stars before Maple Leafs take on Montreal Canadiens for primetime showdown. Tonight is set to end in an exciting clash between Oilers and Canucks as we attempt to replicate last night’s amazing success, when our predictions correctly predicted an underdog Seattle Kraken would win against Vegas Golden Knights. As part of Bet365’s betting lines are subject to change. Hockey can be hard to predict, so please gamble responsibly when gambling on it. Bet: Stars Money Line (-110); Jets Over 6.0 Goals (-105) The Jets are on pace to become the first NHL team ever to win 14 out of their initial 15 matches this season. Fighting back against the Dallas Stars may prove challenging; they have won seven out of their previous ten matchups against them! This game will put the Jets’ offence through an important test as they rank first with 4.50 goals scored per game this season and face an opponent that ranks seventh-best with 2.77 GAA since last season. The Jets boast an exceptional backline with the lowest goals against average this season at 2.14 and are looking to extend their streak of under scoring into this matchup with their opponent – both teams being Stanley Cup contenders having scored under six goals four consecutive games thus making this betting line very close call. Wisconsin goaltender Connor Hellebuyck may well be due for an off game against Stars this Saturday after back-to-back shutouts that earned him back-to-back Vezina trophy victories since Nov. 12.He should expect some regression, especially considering eight of ten games where Hellebuyck has allowed three or more goals since being named Vezina winner last Nov 12. Jets’ top offence should respond by pushing this game over. Bet: Leafs -1 (+125), Canadiens Leafs Under 6.5 Goals (-115)The Habs have struggled significantly on defense this year with an average goals against average of 4.07. An opportunity is at hand for the Leafs offence to finally hit their stride and find success in 2018. Last season they had the second-best goals per game average in the NHL at 3.63; now that number has dropped down to just outside of top-16 clubs at 3.07 with Auston Matthews missing. But his absence shouldn’t hurt them as badly if anything – the Leafs won six consecutive games without him and still managed a strong finish! Toronto has won five of their past six matchups against Montreal and hopes to atone for its narrow 1-0 loss earlier in 2018. Since 2018, the Leafs have defeated the Habs without Matthews by an aggregate score of 6-1 thanks to their stellar defence. Since hiring Craig Berube as bench boss, their backend has significantly improved leading more games towards under scores than not. Toronto has scored seven or fewer goals in 10 of 15 matches so far this season. Bet: Senators Bruins Over 5.5 Goals (-115); Senators ML (+120). We usually like to go against what the public believes, however I believe their expectations for Linus Ullmark’s homecoming to Boston on Saturday could be correct in terms of total goal production. Action Network reports that 68% of bets placed are for an over outcome and I couldn’t agree more as the main attraction in this game will be goaltender vs goaltender competition – both teams having started off poorly this season with goals against averages exceeding three per game and team averages exceeding 3.23. The Bruins have struggled throughout this season with both offence and defence finishing outside of the top 24 teams in the NHL. But things appear to have turned around recently with three wins out of their initial four November contests so far. Senators fans should find themselves in an ideal situation here as their offence has not faltered despite playing only nine games since winning 3-1 against Bruins last time out, scoring an astounding 3.46 goals per game average that ranks them ninth overall offences. They could get lucky and surprise everyone as 86% of moneyline bets favor them when 31% won against Bruins previously; I predict an unexpected Senators victory that rally behind their new goaltender and win outright!
