Although no specific date can be given for their release, both versions should arrive around March of 2013. Jon Wertheim has been taken off Tennis Channel’s broadcast team citing unprofessional behavior, following comments he made regarding Wimbledon champion Barbora Krejcikova’s physical appearance and comments he made criticising her in her match against Martina Hingis at Wimbledon earlier in 2024. Additional: WADA Appeal of Siner’s Doping Case Seek Ban for World No. 16 1The network reports Wertheim has publicly apologized to two-time Grand Slam singles champion Krejcikova – widely seen as being among the more modest major champions – by issuing an apology through social media. Jon has dedicated his career to elevating tennis as an elite sport and was considered an indispensable member of TC’s family and tennis community, according to their official statement. “That said, Tennis Channel holds its employees to an expectation of respectful conduct at all times – something which was clearly violated here when Wertheim made comments that seemed disrespectful towards Krejickova during what he thought would have been rehearsal for TC Live show on the network.

Wertheim asked, in response, who they thought he was and said it is possible he is Barbora Krejcikova? His comment led to outrage and pushback among fans as well as Krejcikova herself who expressed disappointment that such unprofessional commentary existed: a type of commentary which she felt belied her dedication and commitment. “As an athlete who has dedicated herself to this sport, I was disappointed to witness such unprofessional commentary surfacing so often within sports media; but now more than ever is now time for me to address its lack of respect and professionalism within sports media.”
As many have noticed, during Tennis Channel’s coverage of WTA Finals I was shocked and hurt to witness comments focusing on my appearance rather than performance. As an athlete who has dedicated her life to this sport it was devastatingly disappointing (continue) (cont.).

iubesc I appreciate and respect all athletes for the effort they invest into competing at such high levels of play, particularly tennis players. My desire is that tennis be represented accurately to reflect this dedication of its practitioners to compete at its peak level.

Wertheim issued an apology via social media, explaining his remarks came during what he believes to have been an off-camera rehearsal session of a Tennis Channel studio show on Friday, which led him to make “deeply regrettable comments off air. For these actions I accept full responsibility. With regard to my regrettable words said on Friday during this studio show rehearsal session,” he apologized formally: “What had occurred was I joined the show by Zoom; in rehearsal we were shown an exaggerated graphic depicting one of their competitors at an angle that exaggerated her forehead. Shortly thereafter I was instructed to frame up my Zoom.” “As soon as the low camera angle revealed itself, I joked about it resembling the photo of player under consideration and laughed aloud about this similarity between my forehead and theirs. A member of the control room then responded; when this exchange got out to live air unknowingly during rehearsal it caused further controversy and I took full responsibility and own this mistakenly made its way onto live air without my knowledge or consent,” “I recognize: I am neither victimized here; instead this action wasn’t professional, charitable or reflective of who I strive to become; however; I accept responsibility and apologize sincerely for anything said during rehearsal and live air. I accept responsibility and accept full ownership for any any problems caused during live air time.
