Alex Pietrangelo has had an explosive start to the year; now is an opportune moment to capitalize on it in fantasy hockey leagues. (Photo by David Becker/NHLI via Getty Images)With one month gone in fantasy hockey season, plenty of great starts deserve consideration as potential trade opportunities and many who started slowly but should soon rebound in form are worth trading now or later on in season. Here are a few players you could trade or deal for right now: Evan Bouchard of Oilers was off to an especially slow start this year scoring only once after six games played (despite being listed 99% rostered) so consider trading them elsewhere or deal for other options:TRADE FOR: Evan Bouchard has started slowly with only one goal in six games played despite having 91% rostered status so far this season and should continue struggling throughout season with goals per game played totaling only once (at this rate he needs trade elsewhere). Here are a few players you might consider trading/trading: Evan Bouchard (D, Oilers (99% rostered), Oilers (91% rostered), Oilers (94% rostered); here are two players worth trading/trading elsewhere: Evan Bouchard (D), Oilers (999% rostered), Oilers (91% rostered); here he could benefit from another goal per six game going. Here he could receive attention here… TRADE FOR: Evan Bouchard was only scored one in 6 Games played he could potentially pick him/trade elsewhere:TRADE FOR/TRADE FOR Evan Bouchard; Oilers (999% rostered); Oilers (999% rostered); Bouchard got off slowly scoring only 1 goal from his first 6 Games played (99% rostered; Oilers (96%); Evan Bouchard; Oilers (96%; 9 99% Rostering = Evan Bouchard = 99 percent rostered); Oilers 996 rostered player He’s shown signs of improvement lately despite going without points in two games; with three goals and seven points through 13 contests this season – although just one assist on the power play after amassing 35 last season. Bouchard should begin his strong play again once Connor McDavid (ankle) returns, perhaps as early as Saturday against Vancouver. He proved himself last season by scoring 18 goals and 82 points over 81 regular-season games – an astonishing performance! After an impressive World Championship playoff campaign in which he scored six times and contributed 26 assists over 25 appearances, he then embarked upon a superb Stanley Cup playoff run, scoring six times while adding 26 assists over 25 matches. If possible, pick them up while his value remains low in trade deals such as this completed one from Yahoo Trade Market: Bouchard and Auston Matthews for David Pastrnak and Chris Tanev. Vince Dunn, D, Kraken (81% rostered). I strongly advocate picking up injured players early and keeping them on your reserve list or minor league team (if applicable). Dunn stands as an outstanding example: this Kraken blueliner scored 11 goals and 35 assists for 64 points overall last season; 14 of his points came via goals scored during 2022-23 alone! He began the season strong with two goals and an assist through four games before suffering an upper-body injury that has kept him sidelined over the last three weeks. At any rate, Dunn could return as early as Nov. 12 against Columbus and would make for an excellent acquisition – here is an example from Yahoo Trade Market of an established deal: Dunn for Jacob Trouba Demko has resumed skating, but with no timeline set out for his return from knee injury he should still be worth considering for your roster. Demko was fantastic last season going 35-14-2 with five shutouts, a 2.45 GAA and an impressive save percentage of.9118. Trading for talented players like Demko could bode well for both your regular season and playoff run; when healthy he ranks among the NHL’s top-10 goaltenders. Kevin Lankinen should be traded away while his value remains high; then pick up Demko (and obtain better assets up front in return) while his value drops on Yahoo Trade Market: Demko plus 11th round pick for seventh-round selection (completed deal). For trade away purposes only: Alex Pietrangelo (89% rostered Golden Knights D), is having his career-best start, scoring one goal and 12 points through 12 games played so far this season. Pietrangelo earned 54 points during 2017-18 while with St Louis. Since being traded, he has not recorded one power play point or shorthanded goal; and is now serving as No. 1. Vancouver currently lacks its No.1 goaltender due to an injury sustained from Thatcher Demko a while back; but, his return is imminent and should come soon after Demko completes rehabbing his knee issue. As Lankinen will see more action as backup to Demko when he returns, as Vancouver does not wish to overstretch Demko while also protecting Lankinen’s value, his value may take a significant hit. Lankinen had one good season as an NHL rookie (2020-21) when he posted 17-14-5 records with 3.01 goals against average and an impressive save percentage (.909) during 37 regular-season appearances. Since that time, he has served as Demko’s backup goaltender – expect this role to continue once Demko returns from injury. An example of a completed deal from Yahoo Trade Market would include Lankinen, Neal Pionk and 10th and 14th round picks being traded for Miro Heiskanen, John Gibson as well as fourth and sixth-round selections respectively. Nikolaj Ehlers (LW/Jets 91% rostered). Ehlers is having a fantastic debut season; scoring eight goals while adding nine assists from 13 appearances thus far! Nikolaj Ehlers (91% rostered). Ehlers has had an incredible rookie campaign, collecting 8 goals while tallying 9 assists against only 13 appearances with eight goals scored so far! Ehlers has not met expectations so far this season and currently stands with two goals and two assists on the power play, plus 11 rating overall. Ehlers is an exceptional talent but only managed 64 career points during 2016-17 at 20 years old – this being his career peak point total. Ehlers is currently used on second line units who receive first power play time; therefore it makes sense for him to be dealt at his peak value, likely now on Yahoo Trade Market: Ehlers for Chris Kreider was completed successfully on Yahoo Trade Market last season
