Alexandar Georgiev of the Colorado Avalanche remains valuable in fantasy hockey leagues for now… albeit his long-term prospects appear less certain. (AP Photo/David Zalubowski) Each game day this season, THN Fantasy will highlight players and goalies for fantasy hockey managers to stream or roster for their rosters throughout the rest of season. These recommended players and goalies can be used both in traditional fantasy leagues as well as daily fantasy games. 12 Games Have Been Confirmed for Thursday, Nov 7* = confirmedThese 12 Games Will Take Place Thursday November 7:* = Dustin Wolf from Cgy is going against Jeremy Swayman of BOS at 7 pm (ET), Semyon Varlamov of NYI faces Anton Forsberg of Ottawa (7 pm ET). At 7 p.m. ET), Scott Wedgewood will face Sergei Bobrovsky from Florida while Sam Montembeault of Montreal takes on Jacob Markstrom of New Jersey* (7 pm ET). Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen of Buffalo takes on Igor Shesterkin of NYR (7 p.m. ET). Meanwhile Alex Nedeljkovic from PIT will meet Pyotr Kochetkov from Carrier Arena before facing Aleksei Kolosov of Philidephian at Andrei Vasilevskiy from Tampa Bay for one last duel against Aleksei Kolosov of Philadelphia against Andrei Vasilevskiy of Tartarnium* (7 pm ET). *ET)Connor Ingram from UTA takes on Joel Hofer of STL* at 8 pm (ET), Arvid Soderblom of Chicago takes on Jake Oettinger of Dallas* (8 pm ET), Alexandrar Georgiev from Colorado takes on Connor Hellebuyck of Winnipeg WPG* (8 p.m ET). Kevin Lankinen from Vancouver takes on Darcy Kuemper of LA (10:30 p.m ET). Finally Marc-Andre Fleury from Minnesota takes on Mackenzie Blackwood (10:30 pm ET). Georgiev of Colorado at Washington is quickly losing fantasy value and must strive to regain relevance quickly if his fantasy value is to remain relevant in 2018. The Jets are currently the league-best team and surely want a measure of payback against Avs, after being ousted in five games during last year’s first round playoff series. Given Justus Annunen’s win 6-3 against Kraken (an easier opponent than his usual target of choice, I know), another poor start by Georgiev may lead to him sitting out until further notice. Therefore it would not be wise to start him against Jets, even if you feel adventurous enough. Georgiev simply has not done enough to inspire confidence among his teammates or the coaching staff at New Jersey Jets. Even their increased shooting percentage should soon level off and become more reasonable. The Jets must prioritize defensive efforts before engaging in any offense – getting involved in an all-out track meet proved fatal to their playoff campaign — while with Cale Makar possibly out due to injury, Avs may not provide sufficient goal support in order to come away victorious from this matchup. All told, this game promises plenty of drama! Georgiev could be worth rostering again should Jared Bednar struggle to select Annunen as their starting goalkeeper. Whoever wins that spot should consider adding Georgiev. Marc-Andre Fleury of Minnesota against San Jose (19% rostered). Fleury will likely get either this start against San Jose on Thursday night, or be the one starting Friday’s back-to-back set against them. Fleury should benefit greatly in both matches; his team can offer plenty of goal support. He’s had two wins out of his three starts this year – most recently Oct 29 in Pittsburgh in what may have been his final ever appearance there – with nine victories out of 12, with only one coming via shootout loss. Fleury should be your top streaming option in games against either the Sharks or Ducks on Friday and should start right after Petr Mrazek played Wednesday versus the Wings. I find this matchup intriguing for two reasons. First is its potential danger against Petr Mrazek; and second, as Soderblom may start over Petr Mrazek who started earlier in the season against Chicago at Dallas (5% rostered). First of all, Soderblom has done very well this season despite only playing sparingly – in his previous start against the Ducks, he stopped 37 of 39 shots! As for Soderblom’s performance so far this season, this recent showing should give hope of what lies ahead for him in 2019. Additionally, DeBoer made clear he did not anticipate an immediate rebound by his Stars following their two consecutive losses against Panthers during Finland trip. Mason Marchment could become a game-time decision on Tuesday night against the Toronto Maple Leafs, effectively taking away one punch – quite literally when considering that Marchment suffered his injuries in a fight – from their roster. Don’t make any assumptions, this matchup for the Hawks against Dallas Stars will likely be difficult; they have often been outscored. Given there aren’t too many viable streaming options on Thursday’s waiver wire, Soderblom may be worth taking a risk to stream him. Joel Hofer of St Louis against UTA (9%) He may have started slowly against Ottawa (8-1 loss), but I really like their start against Utah. Their scoring has dried up recently – as evidenced by being shutout against Jets last game – while on-road performance hasn’t been good: this will be their third trip within six days. Even with their injuries, I don’t mind taking a gamble with this team. Click here to join THN Fantasy Roundtable to share thoughts!
