Although, due to limited space on board the ship, they will only ever reach a maximum speed of 25 knots during a voyage of 24 to 27 days. EU members will then undergo a four-month window before these tariffs become permanent. China responded swiftly, however, by initiating what appeared to be a reciprocal investigation on European brandy imports after request by its Alcoholic Drinks Association; French producers would likely bear a disproportionate impact from any tariffs placed by Beijing; France is responsible for around 98% of EU brandy imported into China through France alone! Previously China had asked EU to cancel EV tariffs altogether and called for further discussions before their implementation was finalised and China called on this matter repeatedly until talks concluded successfully in 2017.
