There’s been much talk recently of whether or not there should be an official US military body, with respect to whether a member should join it and become its leader – something many in Europe view with envy! So far it looks as if no official has emerged with such intentions – though I suppose we won’t really know until January 2018 arrives and the results become known! Tamsin Mullen gave evidence to the Covid Inquiry about its effects on maternal services when giving birth during early stages of pandemic pandemic pandemic pandemic pandemic pandemic pandemic. She stated she was kept isolated after giving birth via caesarean section for 27 hours while both sons went directly into neonatal intensive care – not being permitted visits until one parent could come visit at a time; and “rigid visiting restrictions meant only one of their new-borns at any given time during that month! “We needed the hospital to understand we were a family,” she explained at the inquiry hearings. “Neither I nor my spouse felt we could provide our children with everything they deserved as parents. “‘In Shock’The Covid inquiry has been taking evidence about maternity services as part of its third module investigating healthcare impacts on NHS services and healthcare delivery systems. Mother of three and activist, Mary Mullen was giving firsthand testimony for 13 pregnancy, baby and parent organizations as she shared first-hand “impact” testimony; in 2019 she discovered she was expecting twin boys and had to undergo high risk pregnancy care services as she considered high-risk.” At six weeks pregnant with her first child, a woman was diagnosed with preeclampsia – a condition which can cause high blood pressure and potentially serious complications if unchecked. Because there were concerns regarding one of the babies developing abnormally, weekly scans were administered; initially her husband could come with her; as Covid spread in March 2020 though he became forced to wait in the car park outside after driving 50 miles from their home to reach hospital for appointments. “Just before the initial lockdown took effect,” she explained, she felt very nervous and found it challenging to navigate on her own given she was high risk pregnancy. At that moment she was holding their son who needed oxygen support; at which time, they didn’t speak out much because she was overwhelmed with shock. “They [the staff] left and I was left on my own, not knowing what this all meant; so, naturally, I panicked.” Later a doctor explained it was only MRSA with mild symptoms that could be treated easily with soap and water.” We didn’t feel treated like parents by staff members either.
